A Second Chance

It was a bolt from the blue. Phoenix-area mother Sonia went to the hospital with complications arising from her pregnancy, and ended up in a coma, leaving her children and mother scrambling to make ends meet and hold the family together.

Through their own initiative – including washing cars and soliciting donations – the family was able to make it through. And when Sonia finally woke up, she was also awakened to the need to protect her family from the unexpected.
