State Farm® Celebrates Women in Small Business!
State Farm surprises philanthropic small business owner during TODAY show segment.
State Farm is proud to have been a part of a custom segment on NBC’s TODAY in honor of National Women’s Small Business month.
On the show, the compelling story of Joanne Canady-Brown, owner of The Gingered Peach in Trenton, NJ, was shared. While her business is thriving, Joanne also takes the time to give back and embrace her community and local non-profit organizations.
That morning, Joanne was surprised with a visit from TODAY’s Donna Farizan, as well as State Farm Agent Teanice Wells Ernest and representatives from two non-profits Joanne supports on a regular basis, “Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK)” and “I Am Trenton.”
As a part of the surprise, Teanice presented two $25,000 checks that were given as gifts to TASK and I Am Trenton in Joanne’s honor.
