State Farm® increases starting salaries in Phoenix

Higher pay and industry-leading tuition assistance can help earn degree without accruing debt.

Having a career doesn’t mean giving up on your education goals or sinking into debt while earning a degree. In fact, being a State Farm employee makes it easier than ever to achieve your goals while having a meaningful career! Whether you're a new grad or a seasoned professional looking for a way to pay for your education, State Farm's competitive pay and Total Rewards package helps eligible employees meet their education goals through the company's industry-leading tuition assistance program so you can earn a degree and remain debt-free.

Tuition Assistance Program Comparison

State Farm offers a Direct Bill program, meaning they pay directly to the school so employees don't have to pay the cost of tuition and fees out of pocket. While most tuition assistance programs max out at around $5,250, State Farm pays $7,500 per year for undergraduate courses and $10,000 per year for graduate courses.

Because this Fortune 50 company aims not just to recruit but to retain employees long term, you will find meaningful benefits and competitive pay opportunities, in addition to flexible hybrid work options and a welcome bonus for many positions.  Recently State Farm announced changes regarding select starting salaries in the Phoenix area to support their desire to maintain a competitive pay package for current and future employees.

"We’ve increased our starting salary rates to enhance our competitive market position and meet our critical hiring needs in the Phoenix area", said Michael Trout, VP and Chief HR Officer.

Minimum starting rates were recently increased to $21 per hour for Claims and Enterprise Contact Center support level positions and $29.31 for Claims professional level positions. As a result of these changes, many current employees in these select positions saw an increase in salary totaling nearly $15 million. This follows a recent company-wide incentive payment of approximately $359 million for non-management employees, part of a continued focus on investing in our employees and providing a comprehensive Total Rewards package.

Above all of these offerings, the company seeks and supports a diverse workforce, and considers everyone in the organization to be an important part of the State Farm Family.

Trout added, "When you work for State Farm® it’s more than a job.  You work for a company that’s been delivering on its promises for over 100 years!  We’re mission driven with a foundation built on relationships and being there for customers when they need us most.  Our employees make a difference every day in the way they take care of our customers, our communities, and each other."
