State Farm Mobile App continues to receive honors.

A Tailored Experience, in One Tap

When you hear “State Farm®,” you think of insurance, great claim service and Jake.

But the largest insurer of home and auto in the United States is also a technology company dedicated to helping people in more ways - every day.

“We’re developing cutting edge solutions through innovation,” said State Farm Technology Engineer Duane Christiansen. “The State Farm® mobile app is one way we’re doing this.”

Christiansen is part of a software and product development team that works on the mobile app. The goal is to make life easier for customers.

“It’s about developing a core product that fits a lifestyle,” he explained. “We’re leveraging technology to make the user experience better.”

Recently, the team’s commitment to tech and innovation received international recognition at the 2021 Webby Awards. The Webby Awards is the leading international award program for internet excellence. State Farm digital products ranked in the top 10% of all Webby entries for intuition, creativity and a people first focus.

“This recognition reflects successful collaboration and customer confidence in our tools and capabilities,” said State Farm Technology Analyst Brittany Devore. “Our team is passionate about providing a simple, intuitive, personal experience that’s available with just a tap in the app.”

Through the State Farm mobile app, customers can oversee their insurance policies, file and manage claims, access insurance ID cards, get roadside assistance, upload photos and documents, and stay connected to their State Farm agent. In 2020, the State Farm mobile app had 101 million visits.

“It’s exciting to be part of a forward-thinking technology team,” said Christiansen. “In this fast paced, agile work environment we are pushing the boundaries of what is possible, to ensure we’re there for people when they need us most.”

The Webby Awards is the leading international award program for internet excellence. 

As a People's Voice Award winner, State Farm was highlighted, along with other Webby winners from around the world.
