State Farm® Red Nets™ Reaches 10,000 Nets, Helping Keep the Game Going in Communities Across the Country
Less than one year after launching, State Farm marks a major Red Nets milestone during Good Neighbor Month — while continuing the mission to help more neighborhood courts get the nets they need
Less than one year after launching its Red Nets initiative, State Farm has sent over 10,000 red basketball nets to communities across all 50 states — a milestone reached during Good Neighbor Month that demonstrates what can happen when people show up for the places that bring neighborhoods together.
State Farm Red Nets launched in October 2025 with a simple goal: Help restore pride, play and connection to communities by providing nets to public basketball courts that need them. Basketball courts are gathering places for neighborhoods, yet many are missing even the basics. In some cities, up to 90% of public basketball hoops are missing nets (according to data from Chicago and NYC).
“Reaching over 10,000 Red Nets in just a handful of months is an incredible milestone, but what excites us most is what those nets represent: More places for neighbors to gather, young people to play and communities to connect,” said Alyson Griffin, Head of Marketing at State Farm. “Celebrating this moment during Good Neighbor Month makes it even more meaningful because Red Nets represents our Good Neighbor ethos in action. We’re proud of how far this movement has come, and we know there are many more courts and communities where we can help make a difference.”
While 10,000 nets marks meaningful progress, the work is far from finished. State Farm Red Nets was created to spark a broader movement of investing in neighborhood spaces and inspiring community pride, with the ambition of helping every public basketball hoop that needs a net get one.
