Some were directly impacted by the fires themselves, and they’ve continued to serve customers while supporting recovery in their own communities. By serving others in this manner, these people embody who we are at State Farm, and we appreciate their dedication and hard work. 

In that same spirit, State Farm has given an additional $2 million to various organizations in California like the Red Cross, all helping people affected by the fires. State Farm is also contributing to and working with organizations like Watch Duty to help alert of fires and the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety (IBHS) to identify and implement more fire resistant building codes and materials. 

There are many forces at work within the California marketplace that are critical to its long-term sustainability. We will continue to work with public and private stakeholders to build a more stable, sustainable insurance market that allows us to match price to risk, so families can find coverage they can count on. Our goal remains to be part of the solution and extend our nearly 100 years of serving the people of California.
