Teen Driver Presentation

Celebrate Driving! Where do you want to go?

Car crashes continue to be the number one killer of teens, and crashes are more common among young drivers than any other age group. State Farm has developed this teen driving presentation as a resource to be used by adults to share with teen audiences in high school classrooms, youth groups, and teen clubs.

It is not a step-by-step guide to driving. This presentation is designed to bring awareness to some of the risks teen drivers face and encourage discussion with a goal toward keeping teens safer behind the wheel.

Many teen driving crashes are preventable. This video with speaker’s guide addresses the leading causes of teen crashes, according to the Centers for Disease Control:

  • Driver inexperience
  • Driving with teen passengers
  • Nighttime driving
  • Not using seat belts
  • Distracted driving
  • Drowsy driving
  • Reckless driving
  • Impaired driving

Please first download the speaker’s guide and use it along with the video presentation. It provides talking points to go with each slide, and suggested conversation-starters.

Thank you for helping to keep teens safe on our roadways.
