Our hearts go out to the people whose lives and property have been impacted by Hurricane Helene, and our greatest concern is for the safety of everyone in the impacted areas.

As of October 7, State Farm has received approximately 96,300 total claims across the 14 states that have been impacted by Helene. The majority of auto claims are related to flood and rising waters, and the majority of homeowner claims are related to wind damage. The states with the highest claim counts are (in order) GA, SC, FL and NC.

State Farm has donated $1.75 million to help non-profits continue to provide emergency shelter, food supplies and hygiene items for people in the communities affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. This disaster grant funding will help assist American Red Cross, Convoy of Hope, Midwest Food Bank and Feeding the Carolinas in their Helene and Milton relief efforts. This relief funding helps provide additional immediate support for critical needs as communities recover.

State Farm Catastrophe Team® members deployed to the Gulf Coast and Southeast to stage and prepare for strategic response ahead of the storm. They are currently on the ground to help residents get on the road to recovery.

In addition to the teams of catastrophe claim specialists responding on the ground to evaluate damage after the storm, our Helene response includes State Farm agents who live and work in the same neighborhoods as our customers. They are joined by thousands of employees in centralized care centers across the country virtually helping answer customers’ questions and file their claims. Our remote claim teams also can conduct virtual inspections with impacted customers following the storm, helping them in their time of need.
