What you need to know

Our hearts go out to the people whose lives have been affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Our greatest concern is for the safety of everyone in the impacted areas.

State Farm® takes seriously our responsibility to be there for people when they need us the most. Agents and employees have been mobilized to help our customers and the communities who have been impacted by these storms.

This website is intended to provide you with helpful information and resources. 

State Farm’s immediate response

State Farm entered impacted areas just as soon as it was safe to do so and immediately deployed claim representatives and opened Catastrophe Customer Care sites across the states impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

We have thousands of Claims employees and agents deployed to the impacted areas and working virtually across the country to handle this event.

Customer Care Sites

Several State Farm Customer Care sites are available for customers to file a claim and get answers to general questions in person. In areas impacted by cellular outages or poor service, State Farm typically provides a free WiFi network at these sites so customers can make calls, send texts and emails, update social media, update their claim information and more. Customers are asked to please make an appointment for vehicle inspections. State Farm also participated in various state-run insurance villages. The latest information is below and is updated as sites open or close.

Recovering from the unexpected

 What are my first steps?

  • After a claim has been submitted, a claim handler will contact you to discuss the extent of damage and review what is covered under your policy.
  • If at any time during the claim process, you have questions, do not hesitate to ask your claim handler. We know this can be a difficult time. We are here to help you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Who is going to help me with my claim?

  • It will take time, but State Farm is here to provide you claim service throughout the claim process.
  • To best assist you during this time, we may involve various members of our claim handling team.
  • This approach to enhanced customer service allows State Farm to provide quality and efficient claim service, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.

In addition to supporting our customers, State Farm has provided $1,750,000 in disaster relief funding to help the broader community address immediate extensive needs across multiple states.

  • Over $50,000 to Convoy of Hope in support of emergency supplies for ongoing relief operations in the most heavily impacted states of Florida and North Carolina. 
  • More than $100,000 to Midwest Food Bank in support of communities in Florida and Georgia. 
  • Over $100,000 to Feeding the Carolinas in support of communities in North and South Carolina
