A New Chapter for State Farm®: Bringing Bloomington Teams Together at Corporate South

Today, State Farm CEO Jon Farney shared with employees plans to consolidate all 13,000 Bloomington-based associates into the company’s Corporate South campus located at 3 State Farm Plaza. 

Employees currently working at Corporate Headquarters and the Illinois Operations Center in Bloomington are expected to move to Corporate South by the end of 2027. 

In his message to employees, Farney said State Farm is a company built on trusted relationships whose mission is to help people and continues to be focused on customers and preparing for the future. “While we don’t know yet what will happen to the Illinois Operations Center or Corporate Headquarters, we will eventually pass back savings to our customers by reducing costs associated with unoccupied space,” Farney said. “We simply have too much office space in Bloomington – about double what we need.” 

Bloomington State Farm employee numbers have remained steady – hovering around 13,000 – for several years. 

The memories and traditions of Corporate Headquarters and the Illinois Operations Center will be preserved as the Corporate South campus is renovated. Preparations and upgrades to Corporate South – the newest State Farm facility in Bloomington - are already underway to ensure a dynamic workplace. 

State Farm also confirmed today that hybrid and remote work arrangements will continue for its more than 62,000 employees located throughout the country. While State Farm does not expect a full-time return to the office for hybrid employees, they will be together more in the future. In Bloomington, Corporate South will accommodate all hybrid employees. Each business area determines work schedules for its employees. 

State Farm also has large numbers of employees at its locations in the Atlanta, Dallas, and Phoenix metro areas, and continues to employ thousands of people who work remotely serving millions of customers in neighborhoods across America.
