State Farm Announces New Auto Rate Reduction for Tennessee Drivers

More than -17% Reduction this Year

The year will end with welcome news for State Farm auto customers across the Volunteer State. The company announces its latest rate filing will bring auto rates down more than an average of -10% starting with new business on December 15th and for existing customer renewals one month later. The December decrease means State Farm would have reduced rates twice since April taking them down a total average of more than -17% in Tennessee in 2025. Our overall reductions in 2025 will amount to more than $252 million in lower total annual premiums for our customers in Tennessee (private passenger cars), averaging approximately $200 in savings per vehicle.

“We are pleased to help our customers save money, combined with the personalized attention of our local agents and first-rate customer service,” says State Farm Senior Vice President Allyson Watts.

Recent trends involving less costly automobile damage claims have allowed State Farm to lower auto rates. As many Tennessee drivers still face challenging economic times, we encourage customers who remain cost conscious to contact their agent to discuss any additional steps customers can take to save more.
